Feb 11 is Finally Here!

But thanks to an insane amount of snow we have been getting lately as well as below zero temps, my doctor appt today was postponed until next Wed, Feb 20. Which will interestingly enough, be just a few days after the 1 year anniversary of my hurting my back shoveling snow. Oh the irony!

But here is the good news... I told the nurse on the phone point blank, "darn Ang, I was hoping to hear I could stop wearing this brace." She said, "well maybe you can , let me check your chart." She's a NP, so she can make SOME calls for me, which is nice. She said I could start weaning down on the brace, have it off 1-2 hours today and see how I do, same tomorrow, then the next two days 3-4 hours off etc. Then report to the dr next Wed at my appt how that is going/went. So not horrible news even though I don't get to go see my back xray and know for sure. Hey, it's possible I could even have to wear it 3 more months, but at least for today I get it off for 1-2 hours or until it hurts if that comes first. Pray for good here!

Oh, and before I knew I was not going to my appt, I was getting all dolled up to leave the house, and Aubrey wanted to as well. So here is a great photo of us ;)

Sleep vastly improved!

I can now stay up most nights until 9 and wake up at 7 feeling refreshed! This is HUGE! I still don’t do much during the day due to pain, but I feel hope inside and not constantly covered by a cloud of depression. I feel some anxiety that the treatment isn’t going to help the pain (maybe it is an underlying condition that a dr needs to get on top of? Or maybe I am just too sensitive?) But my anxiety is down to like a 3 from a 8-9 which is wonderful and my depression is down to zero from an 8-9. Thank you God! Thanks Nick for sticking with me and not giving up. I feel like I’m getting my life back! I’m still hoping to figure out this hand tingling and pain (again maybe pinched nerves in my neck too which we know are there, I’ve had hand tingling on and off for years this is just worse the last few days and I don’t know why, ketamine should decrease not increase pain.)
