Grace is all I Need

Image
2 Corinthians 12:9 "But He said to me, 'My Grace is sufficient for you, for my Power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weeknessess so that the power of Christ may rest in me." I don't share about my battle with depression and pain for sympathy or attention, I share because I want others to know they can make it through as well.  They are not alone.  Never alone. loved. I am Beautiful

Image
I am beautiful and so are you! My Beautiful Kit from Illustrated Faith came yesterday and I was able to go to a Bible Journaling group tonight and have fun with it!  This is what I came up with: Our local Christian bookstore has a Bible Journaling group on Thursday nights and this is the second time I have gone. Last time I was all alone, but this time I had a friend meet me there.  It was just us but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.  The 90 minutes goes far too quickly! Hope your day was beautiful too. loved. Danz

Every Day is a Gift

Image
Today was my monthly pain clinic day so I can't sit up and make a pretty Bible page, but I took a photo of my gorgeous new journaling calendar because the words are so true. Every day is a gift! Today my doctor injected my left SI joint and I had almost immediate relief (after excruciating pain.) He checked on my afterward and my BP from pain had come way down.  Hallelujah! Now he is as sure as my physical therapist as to exactly what is going on, even without a CT of my sacrum.  I have L5 nerve pain from bone growth around my L5/S1 fusion. I also have an unstable sacrum, as we thought, it keeps twisting so I have a sacral brace to keep it in place and I will continue PT.  If we can keep it in place for now, that is great and we can hold off on fusing it. Believe me, I know many people say no do yoga, no see a chiro, but because of the fusion I *had* to have, these joints are having the problems they are. Anyway, I see my dr again on April 26 and we will see how the pain ...

Created to Create, My Latest Page

Image
I love this page, I used the "Created to Create" kit by Shanna Noel that I ordered through DaySpring.com.  Illustrated Faith used to sell on their own Etsy page but they have become so big (yay!) that DaySpring is now carrying their products.   This kit has such amazing products and has such a great devotional to go along with it. They also have a new Beautiful Kit that I am waiting on to arrive as well, and a Genesis Kit. I am excited to work through all 3 with the beautiful die cuts, stamps, washi tape, and devotional a that come with them. For the record, I am not a DaySpring or Illustrated Faith affiliate, nor did I receive these products free for review.  I simply love them so much that I wanted to share how great they are! This is the stock photo of the kit I used to make the above page.  I had a great time with the Lord creating this. loved. Danz

More pages, spending time with my God

Then I started using little gifts and tags people sent to me in "Happy Mail" package. That one ^ doesn't cover the words, you can tip it up and see this underneath. :) Loving this, loving God. loved. Danz

I am going to start posting these as I do them, and show my progression over time and the fun and joy I am having doing this artistic Bible Journaling.  I re-did the cover of my Bible, added prayer pockets to the inside back and info on the inside front, and then I got back to more journaling which you will see in future posts!  Front  Back Front inside Inside back cover with prayer pockets Have a lovely day! loved. Its a new day.

It's a new day, a new year, a new life.    Let's start with new ideas and a new focus. My trust through all my trials has always been with God, always.  I've recently discovered an idea sweeping across the world of Christians of doing ART in their Bibles.  It is called Bible Journaling, but usually not only involves journaling, but art, and sometimes only art. Being that I have always been a doodler, and my adopted dad always called me "Doodles" as a kid, that I doodled on my clothes, my arms, my school notes, and even in the margins of my Bible, this isn't a completely crazy idea to me as it is to some, but I had no idea people were decorating their Bibles almost like scrapbooks! Photos of my arm doodles in recent years: One day in October, while browsing Pinterest, I happened upon some Bible Journaling art, and was instantly sucked down a rabbit hole of Bible art on Instagram for easily over an hour.  There some really amazing ...
