Every Day is a Gift
Today was my monthly pain clinic day so I can't sit up and make a pretty Bible page, but I took a photo of my gorgeous new journaling calendar because the words are so true.
Every day is a gift!
Today my doctor injected my left SI joint and I had almost immediate relief (after excruciating pain.) He checked on my afterward and my BP from pain had come way down. Hallelujah! Now he is as sure as my physical therapist as to exactly what is going on, even without a CT of my sacrum. I have L5 nerve pain from bone growth around my L5/S1 fusion. I also have an unstable sacrum, as we thought, it keeps twisting so I have a sacral brace to keep it in place and I will continue PT. If we can keep it in place for now, that is great and we can hold off on fusing it. Believe me, I know many people say no do yoga, no see a chiro, but because of the fusion I *had* to have, these joints are having the problems they are. Anyway, I see my dr again on April 26 and we will see how the pain is and how PT is going. Then we can decide if I need to have my sacrum fused first or I can have my neck fused first (my left arm is at 50% numbness even after the ulnar nerve surgery and my neck is only getting worse, so it needs it badly.
I am so glad to have two physicians on the same page and ready to help. Now if I can find an orthopedic surgeon who agrees and is ready to help!
It is a great day to be alive!
loved.
