Balance

Often lately, in keeping writing at least one good thing about the day in my journal, I am finding that my life is unbalanced with negative things outweighing positive.  I don't want that to be the case, and I certainly don't want to focus on that, but it's frustrating.  Anyway...

Today while shopping at the mall I inadvertently left a bag on a chair while waiting for a store to open.  I did not realize it until a good 10 minutes later when I was walking to my car.  I frantically searched the store for my bag and then waited in line to ask the cashier if anyone had turned my bag in.  Of course they didn't. :( I was sick to my stomach and felt very dumb. Of course it is a normal thing to have happen and I kept telling myself that it was only about $25 worth of undergarments for one of my children.  It could have been worse.  And it did have my coupon mailer in the bag with my name and address. But I felt very upset.

I went back to the store I had made the purchase at to see if perhaps someone quickly brought it back and returned my stuff for cash.  They had headphones in that store and asked over the radio if anyone had turned in my bag. SOMEONE DID!  It was at the customer service desk and had everything in it.  Some good person turned it in.  Wow.  What a blessing!

Two hours later, my husband texted me that the credit card had a hold on it.  Supposedly someone in another state tried to make $1100 worth if purchases with it and it sent up red flags as we don't ever spend that kind of money on ot, so they called my husband, he said it was fraudulent and it was declined.  We have to wait for new cards to come in the mail and not have use of them for a week, but are thankful that the transaction was declined and the cc company noticed the fraud.

A frustrating day, but not horrible.
