Feb 3 WOW
Just another day in the life...
Got up early and got the kids ready, left the house 30 min earlier than normal to be at Pieter's IEP before 8 (got in the car at 7:45.) Went down the driveway and got stuck at the end, again. That is the 3rd time in so many days. The driveway is almost completely ice now and chunks of it.
I ran in to wake up Pete and he got dressed and came to work on it and by 8:10 I was beside myself. I was pretty frustrated at 8, actually. I sprinted the shortest possible distance to school, a zigzag of 5 blocks, wearing combat boots, jeans, a tank top and a thin cotton hoodie. I didn't even realize my hands were cold until I got inside and tried to write.
I am thankful the team was understanding and was patient for me to try to catch my breath and catch up. We had to be done before 9 so I could take Aubs to her 6-hour neuropsych testing...
I am thankful another helpful neighbor, Jill VanVliet, got my kids to school and Pete eventually freed the vehicle to bring to me. So after the IEP Aubs and I dropped him at home on the way to her testing.
At Aubs' testing, they found out a lot more than they expected so we will go back for more on Thursday morning. No results for us until Feb 20. She's definitely a smart cookie though!
I'm off to take Pete to pick up his rental car so he can leave this evening for Detroit and hopefully be home Thursday evening. We are missing him a lot.
Nothing seems to slow down here.
