Yes this my normal life...
8am copied mostly from Facebook)
1. Aubs has pinkeye or a cold in her eye. Not a huge deal but she needs to be seen and get antibiotics.
2. Micah is the same. He slept well but came into my bed at 6 again with a fever (101 when I checked after snuggles), light sensitivity, nausea, and mostly his eyes hurt very badly, still no neck pain and he keeps asking me why I am asking him that. This is day four of just headaches abp d fevers 100-102'
The plan is to call our regular doctor at 9am and ask their opinion. If we should see if we can get both kids in today to them, or Aubs in to them sometime today and get Micah to Urgent Care. 58minuyes and counting.
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
Update 8:45am
They have a joint 1015 appt at the pediatrician.
Pieter just called from school with a headache... He never gets migraines so I think it is just a headache. But I quick ran him some Tylenol and he is supposed to called me at 950 if he is not better and we can pick him up on the way to the others' appt. I think his is just a headache so he won't be seen but I won't have him stay at school if he doesn't feel well.
He didn't want to leave but didn't want to "get anyone else sick." That's my sweetie!!! So we will see.
Update 11am or so:
Update on all 3 kids (yawn)
They think that we all have a virus but we all have it at different levels because of our different immune systems. Like I have a really bad immune system so I have a really bad cold. Aubrey has a minor cold and has a little bit of virus in her eye. Micah has a different immune system and he has this bad headache. Pieter had a little headache but is better.
Aubs gets Zyrtec and allergy eye drops to help the itchiness for a day or so.
Micah gets to keep alternating acetometophen and ibuprofen until the headaches stop and his fevers as well. unless he gets much worse or his neck hurts or can't move, or his fever spikes high.
Of course when we got there i chad given him Tylenol 3 hours earlier and his head wasn't really hurting even though in the car he said it was. He did have a fever of 100 there though. And Aubs' eye was really red, but no goop. Phew.
I really do have personal-hypochondriac-phobia. The fear of people thinking that I am a hypochondriac because I have so much crap wrong with me (and my kids.) Ugh.
Trying so hard to rest, relax, trust, and believe.
So I have posted that I have herniated and degenerated both my lowest neck discs (c5/c6 and c6/c7) and they are not as degenerated as my back was yet so we are trying to hold off on fusing the neck as long as possible because that is of course a huge surgery again, and as you fuse them, the other disc degenerate faster. The one close to the lower back one is starting...
SO Next MOnday Oct 27th, they are doing both carpal tunnel and ulnar tunnel (elbow) surgery. They are both outpatient and the hand is not a huge deal but the elbow kinda is They actually move the nerve completely and it is a much longer recovery time. Pete will be there and take me home and be with me for the required 24 hours and then has to leave IMMEDIATELY for OHIO to be at a super important meeting with the president of the US part of Xerox (who he works for) at A&F (where one of the two accounts he is in charge of) will be. It just so happens my parents will be out of town that entire week too. Of course right?
So I bit it, and asked my church for help. Pete just found out yesterday he has to travel. I just found out last week I need the surgery NOW. So I asked my church Friday for maybe some help and when Pete found out, I told them exactly how much I will need more help. Within an HOUR they had meals for Mon- Fri (even a meal for Mon when he will be home but taking care of me) being asked for and are working on rides for my kids to church Sun night and Micah's karate Thurs night. HOPING Pete will be home to take the kids trick-or-treating on Friday!!! Usually he gets home by midnight when he travels to Ohio. But we will figure something out for that too. That I did not ask the church for but may ask our neighbors about.
Serious can't make my life up. It is this crazy, always.
